Billing & Account

Yes. All plans start with a 14-day free trial with full access to all features — no credit card required to start. You are only charged if you choose to continue after the trial period ends. No data is lost if you upgrade after the trial.
We accept eSewa, Khalti, bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS), and cheque payment. Enterprise customers can also request invoice-based billing with 30-day payment terms. For international card payments or other arrangements, contact [email protected].
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of your current billing period — there are no mid-period refunds except under our 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. After cancellation, you have 30 days to export all your data before it is deleted.
Udyot is priced as a monthly or annual subscription in Nepali Rupees (NPR). Prices vary by plan (Starter, Growth, Enterprise) based on the number of users and features. Annual subscriptions save approximately 20% compared to monthly billing. Visit our Pricing page for current plan details, or contact us for a custom Enterprise quote.
Yes. You can upgrade your plan at any time — the change takes effect immediately and you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal date. If you need to add more users or companies mid-cycle, contact our sales team.

Data & Security

Your data is stored in secure cloud servers with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 encryption in transit. Backups are taken daily for Starter and Growth plans, and hourly for Enterprise plans. Your data belongs to you — we act only as a data processor to provide the Services and will never access, sell, or use your business data for our own purposes.
Yes. You can export your data at any time — reports in PDF and Excel, transaction lists in Excel, and master data (items, ledgers, employees) in CSV format. Enterprise customers can request a complete data export in JSON/CSV from Settings → Data Export. You are never locked in.
Yes. Security is fundamental to Udyot. Your data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. We perform regular security audits. Access is protected by strong passwords and role-based permissions — no one can see data they are not authorised to see. We never share your financial data with any third party except as required by Nepal law.
If you cancel your subscription, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can export all your data. After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted from our systems. We do not retain your business data after deletion. If you need an extended grace period for data export, contact us at [email protected].

Product & Features

Udyot is a cloud-based ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software built specifically for Nepali businesses. It combines accounting, inventory, HR, payroll, VAT & tax compliance, CRM, and supply chain management into one integrated platform — eliminating the need to juggle multiple tools or spreadsheets.
Yes. Udyot is built from the ground up for the Nepali market. It supports the Bikram Sambat (BS) Nepali calendar, NPR currency, Nepal VAT at 13%, TDS sections per the Income Tax Act 2058, PF (Provident Fund), SSF (Social Security Fund), and generates reports in IRD-accepted formats including Annex 1–9 for VAT filing.
Yes. We provide a free data migration service for new customers. Our team can help import your chart of accounts, ledgers, opening balances, and inventory from Tally or Excel. Contact us at [email protected] or use the Contact page to schedule a free migration consultation.
Udyot is a cloud-based platform and requires an internet connection to use. This means you can access your data from any device anywhere — your office, home, or on mobile. Offline mode for critical voucher entry is on our product roadmap. Most Nepali business internet connections (NTC, Vianet, WorldLink, Subisu) are sufficient to run Udyot smoothly.
Yes. Growth and Enterprise plans support multiple company entities from a single login. Each company has completely separate data, ledgers, and reports. This is ideal for business groups with multiple subsidiaries, or accounting firms managing multiple clients.
Yes. Udyot is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets using any modern web browser — Chrome for Android or Safari for iOS. You can view reports, check stock levels, approve vouchers, and monitor your business from your phone. No separate mobile app download is required.
Yes. You can add your CA or external accountant as a user with the Accountant role. They can access your books, review entries, generate reports, and prepare audit files — without being able to change company settings or manage users. Growth and Enterprise plans support unlimited external user access.
Udyot supports 16 voucher types: Contra, Payment, Receipt, Journal (accounting-only); Sales, Purchase, Credit Note, Debit Note (inventory + accounting); Sales Order, Purchase Order, Delivery Note, Receipt Note (order tracking); and Stock Journal, Physical Stock, Rejection In, Rejection Out (stock-only). Every type is pre-configured and ready to use.

Support & Onboarding

Starter plan customers get access to our full documentation library and video guides. Growth plan customers get a guided onboarding call with a product specialist who will help set up your company, import your chart of accounts, and configure your first voucher types. Enterprise plan customers get a dedicated implementation team with full staff training.
Support is available via email at [email protected], live chat on the website (business hours), and WhatsApp for Enterprise customers. Response times: Starter — within 48 hours; Growth — within 8 business hours; Enterprise — within 2 hours. Critical issues for Enterprise accounts are escalated immediately regardless of time.
Yes. We offer video tutorials covering every module in the documentation section. Growth plan customers receive a live onboarding session. Enterprise customers get full staff training — up to 3 sessions covering accounting, inventory, HR/payroll, and reporting for different team roles. Additional training sessions can be booked at any time.
Yes. You can import stock items, ledgers (chart of accounts), opening balances, and customer/supplier lists from Excel. Use the Import tool in the respective Masters section. Download the template, fill it in, and upload. Our support team can also assist with bulk imports during onboarding.

Tax & Compliance

Yes. Udyot generates VAT returns, Annex 1–9, TDS returns, and payroll-related tax reports in the formats required by Nepal's Inland Revenue Department (IRD). All reports export to Excel for direct upload to the IRD taxpayer portal. Invoices printed from Udyot include all required fields: PAN, VAT registration, HS code, taxable amount, VAT amount, and more.
Yes. All date fields in Udyot support both Bikram Sambat (BS) and Gregorian (AD) calendars. You can set your preferred default calendar per company in Settings. All reports can be filtered by either calendar system. IRD-format reports display dates in both BS and AD as required.
Yes. Udyot comes pre-configured with all 9 TDS sections per the Income Tax Act 2058. You can apply TDS on payment vouchers (for rent, professional fees, contract payments, etc.) and on employee salaries during payroll. Udyot calculates the TDS amount, posts it to TDS Payable, and generates TDS return reports and certificates in IRD-accepted formats.
Yes. When creating a sales invoice, you can toggle "Price Inclusive of VAT" if your selling prices already include the 13% VAT. Udyot will automatically back-calculate the net amount and VAT. For example, an inclusive price of NPR 1,130 is split into NPR 1,000 net + NPR 130 VAT.
Nepal VAT is filed quarterly, aligned with the Nepali fiscal year: Q1 (Shrawan–Ashwin), Q2 (Kartik–Poush), Q3 (Magh–Chaitra), Q4 (Baishakh–Ashad). The deadline is typically the 25th of the month following each quarter-end. Udyot generates the VAT return and all Annexes for each quarter ready for filing.
Yes. Udyot's payroll module supports both EPF (Employee Provident Fund) at 10% employee + 10% employer contribution, and SSF (Social Security Fund) at configurable rates per your SSF registration. Both are calculated automatically during monthly payroll processing and posted to the correct payable ledgers.
