Manufacturing Module

Manufacturing ERP Software in Nepal — BOM, Production and Cost Control

Plan production, issue raw material, track work in progress and know the true cost of every batch — with the same inventory and ledger your accountant already trusts.

For factories, workshops and assembly businesses in Nepal · Built on Inventory

Know what a batch really costs

Most Nepali manufacturers can tell you the selling price of a product but not the actual cost of the batch they made last week. Material is issued on a slip, labour is estimated, overhead is guessed, and the variance only appears when the year-end accounts are prepared.

Udyot makes production a first-class transaction. A BOM defines the recipe, a production order plans the run, and the manufacturing journal moves raw material into work in progress and finished goods into stock with the cost attached. Actual versus standard, plan versus actual and WIP are visible while the batch is still fresh.

It shares one item master and one ledger with Inventory, Supply Chain and Accounting — no separate factory system to reconcile.

What is inside the Manufacturing module
  • Multi-level bills of material and routings
  • Production orders, material requests and MRP
  • Work centres, capacity planning and holiday calendar
  • Job work orders and subcontract stock
  • Quality inspections with 4-eyes approval
  • Batch, serial, WIP and cost-variance reporting
Capabilities

From recipe to finished goods

Production, quality, outsourcing and costing on one shop-floor record.

Bills of material

Define inputs, outputs, scrap and sub-assemblies. Engineering change orders keep BOM revisions controlled and approved.

Production orders

Plan a batch, reserve material, release it to the floor and record completion through the manufacturing journal.

MRP and capacity

Material requirements planning and work-centre capacity show what to buy and when a machine is already full.

Job work and subcontracting

Send material out, track subcontract stock, receive processed goods and score the sub-contractor on turnaround and quality.

Quality inspections

Pass, fail or rework a batch with a 4-eyes trail, so quality results are evidence rather than a verbal note.

Costing and variance

Actual versus standard, plan versus actual and WIP at period close, with variance verdicts and drill-down by material, labour and overhead.

How it works

A production run, end to end

Define the recipe
Create the BOM with its raw materials, quantities, work centres and routing. Approve revisions through an ECO.
Plan and release
Raise the production order, check material availability and capacity, and release the batch to the floor.
Produce and inspect
Issue material, record the run and inspect the output. Rework and rejects stay attached to the batch.
Cost and close
Post finished goods at their computed cost, review variance, and close the period with WIP and standard-cost reports.

Traceability for audits and customers

Batch and serial traceability links each finished unit to the raw-material lots it consumed and the receipt notes that created them. For a food, pharma or electrical manufacturer, that is the difference between a targeted recall and a full stock write-off. For the auditor, it is the support behind the inventory valuation and the cost of goods sold.

FAQs

Manufacturing software in Nepal — common questions

Yes. A BOM defines what goes in and what comes out for each production run, including sub-assemblies. Finished goods and raw materials are ordinary stock items, so the same item master serves purchasing, production and sales.
A production order plans the batch, and the manufacturing journal posts the material issue and the finished-goods receipt. Stock leaves the raw-material godown, work in progress is tracked, and the finished item lands in stock at its computed cost — with the GL entries posted at the same time.
Yes. Job work orders move material to a sub-contractor godown, track what is outside, and record the processed goods coming back through a job work receipt. A subcontractor scorecard shows turnaround and quality over time.
Udyot compares actual versus standard and plan versus actual, with variance verdicts in 5% bands. You can drill into material, labour and overhead, and the period-close reports cover manufacturing variance, standard cost variance and work in progress.
Yes. Quality inspections record pass, fail or rework with a 4-eyes audit trail, so the person who inspects is not the only record of the result. Failed batches can be routed back without losing the production history.
Yes. Batch and serial traceability shows the receipt notes that created each input lot and the finished batch they went into. Serial lookup answers the customer question "where did this unit come from?" without a spreadsheet.
