Order Reports: Aging, Backorder and Profitability
Order reports turn your open orders into decisions. Udyot gives you three: an Aging report to chase slow orders, a Backorder report to see what you cannot fulfil, and a Profitability report to see which orders make money.
Aging report
Buckets your open Sales and Purchase Orders by age (0–7, 8–14, 15–30, 31–60, 61+ days), oldest first, and shows the outstanding value of each — scaled by how much is still unfulfilled. Find it at Order Management → Reports → Aging. Use it to follow up on orders that are sitting too long.
Backorder report
Lists open sales order lines you cannot currently fulfil — where the quantity still to deliver is more than the stock you have on hand — with the shortage value. It cross-links to MRP and Low Stock so you can act.
Profitability report
Estimates gross profit per sales order — revenue minus the moving-average cost of the goods — so you can see your margin before delivery. (Final realised profit is in the Gross Profit report once goods are delivered.)
Priority and cancellations
You can flag orders urgent/high/normal/low, and the Aging report sorts urgent orders to the top regardless of age. Cancelling an order asks for a reason, which feeds the Cancellation Analytics report so you can see why orders fall through.
Tips & common questions
Do these include cancelled or completed orders? No — they focus on what is still open and actionable.
