Statutory Returns: EPF, SSF and Annex-10

Udyot generates Nepal’s statutory payroll returns ready for upload to the relevant portals — so you spend minutes, not hours, on monthly compliance. It produces the EPF (Provident Fund) return, the SSF (Social Security Fund) return, and the TDS Annex-10 in the prescribed fixed-width formats.

Before you begin

Process and post payroll for the month first (see Salary Structures and Payroll Processing). Returns are generated from posted payroll.

The returns Udyot produces

  • EPF / Provident Fund return: Employee and employer contributions per the prescribed layout.
  • SSF return: Social Security Fund contributions at the correct rates (employee 11% / employer 20% per the SSF Act 2074).
  • TDS Annex-10: Salary tax deducted, in the IRD’s fixed-width format with the A10 form code.
  • Salary TDS certificate (Section 90): A printable per-employee certificate with the employer and employee details and a month-by-month deduction grid.

Generating a return — step by step

  1. Open HR & Payroll → Statutory Returns.
  2. Choose the return type and the month/period (in Bikram Sambat).
  3. Download the file and upload it to the EPF/SSF/IRD portal, or print the certificate for an employee.

Tips & common questions

Are the rates kept current? Udyot uses the statutory rates and TDS salary slabs per the Income Tax Act 2058 and the SSF Act 2074, and these are reviewed against each year’s Finance Act.
